My Students
I love living and teaching in our small town. I am now teaching the children of some of my former students. It is fun to see how my students have grown and have become successful adults.
Our school is a family.
We treasure each family represented at our school. We have a large percentage of ESL families at our school. We work hard to foster a positive home-school connection with all families. We celebrate each other's successes and offer encouragement when someone is struggling. We care about each student who attends our school as well as those who have attended in past years.
My Project
Kindergarten is often the first time many of my students have been away from home. Adjusting is easier for for students than for others. I do everything I can to ease the transition between home and school.
An important part of kindergarten is allowing students to make choices throughout the day.
The low table with floor seats will be a wonderful addition to the flexible seating options already available in our classroom.
I encourage flexible seating options and allow students to make individual choices to meet their personal needs. I have seen how effective flexible seating options can be and how they allows the body and brain to work together.
