Learning To Love Those Rocks And Minerals!

My students need a set of THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS INSIDE THE EARTH books to enhance our study of rocks and minerals.

My Students

I'm interested in integrating our science curriculum with our language arts. Magic School Bus Inside the Earth is an amusing, yet content rich picture book. It features an eccentric science teacher named Mrs. Frizzle, who takes kids on a memorable journey through the geological layers of the earth.

My students are science enthusiasts!

They thrive on doing hands-on explorations in science. They also take joy in reading quality content books together. There are 80 fourth grade students who will be using these books at our school. THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS is an excellent way to reinforce their science knowledge.

My Project

Through reading this book, students will be learning about how minerals make up all the rocks around us. They'll encounter the differences between igneous an metamorphic rocks, how to distinguish limestone from shale, how volcanoes are involved in recreating the earth's crust.

This set of books will be an invaluable resource to the 80 fourth graders at our school.

This is an extremely lean year for adding supplies to our science program, so an infusion of new books into our science studies will be a welcome addition!
