My Project
Learning to key by touch is a vital skill students need in order to be productive in this technology driven age. My keyboarding class is the first formal class students have encountered that teach correct posture and technique for learning to touch type. With daily consistent practice, students imprint muscle memory into their fingers as they learn correct finger placement.
Students are expected to spend 100 minutes each week in an online platform practicing the keys introduced during class, On Fridays, students who clock 100+ minutes will have the opportunity to 'spin the wheel' for snack/drink items or other non-edible incentives.
These items will allow students to receive an incentive for their commitment to practice and encourage other students to commit to daily practice.
