My Project
This project will support the reading growth of scholars in my classroom space. Scholars know when they come to my traveling classroom, they are readers who use strategies, decode, and think critically. They feel successful and confident.
They are developing life-long behaviors and attitudes towards reading and writing.
My scholars are learning what it looks and feels like to be a better reader. By using magnetic letters, they can create their very own sentences. Scholars can decode heart/sight words with the sight word string-ups to assist them during each school day. They come from various backgrounds, from different kinds of families, with multiple needs, but they all need a firm foundation of encouragement. With encouragement and A LOT of love, I can give them the support they need and resources when needed.
The scholars in my classroom need love, support, and a teacher with a clear guide and materials for teaching reading to grow into the readers I know they are.
