My Project

The supplies in this project will help kickstart our classroom economy. My 5th graders have already proven to be so excited for the opportunity to earn classroom cash and become savers and investors in their classroom future. With their help, we have compiled a list of prizes to bid on during our classroom auctions every two to three weeks. Prizes include, headphones, water bottles, stickers, games, and jump ropes. Responsibility, work ethic, and integrity- that is what we are teaching these students using the classroom economy system.

The classroom economy we have created will teach my students how to be responsible with their money, encourage them to show up and do their best each day for their classroom job, and will teach them that hard work can pay off as they earn bonusses.

Students have already begun learning to save their money and even fill out weekly deposit slips for their classroom bank account. We are so excited to continue building our economy in the classroom!
