My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching 60 enthusiastic Second graders. They love to learn, but they need materials that will keep them interested.

I teach in a low socioeconomic school and unfortunately, many of the children that come through my room don't have basic supplies.

Therefore, I provide most of the materials that are in my room. Regardless of background, all of the children are excited about being at school and learning new things.

My Project

My boys and girls love to use a variety of materials to support their learning. The Counting Money Puzzles and Count It Up! Money Rods will be used in a small group setting where students can learn hands-on and self monitor. The Jumbo Double-Sided Magnetic Money will be used to demonstrate different amounts of money and hands on practice in a whole group setting. The Allowance Game, Money Equivalency Puzzles, Self-Checking Money Match-Ups, Money Bingo and Money Flash Cards will be used in centers.

Donations to this project will allow students the chance to learn and apply second grade math skills in a fun and exciting way.

By using these items students will generate a love for learning math.
