This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a new elementary school social worker, and my goal is to help all of our students one or a few at a time learn tools needed to cope with stress, anxiety, and our emotions. This builds self confidence in the children to have effective communication, positive relationships, purpose, and motivation through SEL learning.
By providing a comfortable seat, a fun rug to sit on during a group session, and fun fidget toys for when stressors are on the rise.
This will help our children express their concerns and for me to give them the tools to work through those tough moments.
