Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with amazing students between the grades of Kindergarten through fourth grade. My student each have their own unique strengths and weaknesses, but their strengths always outshine. My students love coming to school and getting their hands on a book. Although they love to read, reading is a difficult task for them. My students struggle to decode, blend, segment, and hear sounds.
My students need good first-good instruction to help them become better readers.
This item will help my students with their phonemic awareness. By learning how to blend and segment sounds in words, my students will become the readers they hope to be. My goal for this project is to be able to get copies of this curriculum so I can use them in the many general education classrooms that I push into. Please help me make my students better readers and attain their goals.
