My Project
As a middle school counselor in Philadelphia, a high number of my students have experienced trauma. The supplies requested are to help them regulate their emotional well-being while in the classroom. Structure and consistency are important for all students, especially students who are dealing with trauma. If I can give supplies to every student, it does not single out any individuals and is beneficial for all. Each student is so important and valuable to their classroom community, and I want to meet and help their needs so that they can be present and have all learning opportunities. My students need journals, sensory toys, stickers, and emotion posters.
