This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin
My students are children between the ages of 5 to 7 years of age.
My students posses all the eagerness to learn; although their learning disabilities make it difficult, but not impossible. As a special education classroom, I have to include different modalities so learning becomes interesting and attention keeper.
My students live in a low socio-economic community. However, they are fortunate to be part of a school that is community driven and very involved in student success.
My Project
My students will use the samsung wireless speaker as part of our morning activity. As part of our morning routine, we sing along songs that reinforce the ABC's (names and sounds), numbers, colors, days of the week, and months. In addition to learning language arts and mathematical concepts, we also sing songs to learn body parts and reinforce manners.
The students look forward to singing, as this activity brightens up their spirit for learning.
The Samsung Wireless Speaker will improve our morning routine because my laptop speaker is not loud enough.
Most of the times, they have a hard time listening to what the song is really saying and it can be distracting because their attention goes more to the volume, not the content.
This speaker will be beneficial to my students because they need the support of listening stimulation to remember letters, letter sounds, numbers, etc. so they can gain confidence and school success early on.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
