My Project

I teach 19 active kindergarteners south of Seattle. My students come from many different backgrounds and cultures and I want to celebrate that with the books we read in class.

I've asked for many different kinds of books - all will help be windows into new worlds and cultures and mirrors for students.

I have heard good things about the 'Little Spot' series of social emotional learning books. I included some classics, some rhyming and rhythm books, and some that honor different hair, skin, eyes, and actions. I want all of my students represented in the books we read and this project will help me do that!
