Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a teacher for a preschool Autism class. I am requesting toys and sensory items. Most of my students struggle with playing with toys appropriately. I am requesting toys that are fun and exciting for the kids to engage with appropriately. These toys will also allow me to model how to play with them.

Play is a crucial part of learning for a child.

I included toys that will help with academic learning (letters, number, colors, etc.) as well as sensory items. The sensory items will use touch, lights and sound to help with the child’s sensory needs. The learning toys like the shape sorter will promote academic learning (letters, number, colors, etc.)
