This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is a preschool Autism classroom. I am requesting toys that encourage play to enhance the children ability to engage with toys appropriately. Many of the children in my classroom are used to technology and have become very focused on tablets, but are not engaging with toys.

Play is the foundation for learning and is crucial for development.

I have chosen materials that are both stimulating and will enhance their curiosity to begin laying the framework for play skills in the classroom. These items will also focus on each child's sensory needs, through lights, sounds, and touch.
