This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Best Behavior book collection will give my students a visual aid in better understanding how to practice and demonstrate their best behavior in our classroom. This is a great way to help my students learn about different positive behaviors that will not only benefit them in our classroom but also at home.
Color Discovery boxes are a great strategy for helping our students develop language.
They also develop the ability to strengthen their mathematical development by learning to categorize and sort objects.
Clean sand would not only help our students by enjoying the experience of sensory material but also develop them in their language development. This would make a great activity for exploring and building strong communication skills by helping students develop the ability to express their wants and needs. For example, If placed on a sand table students will communicate their interest in participating in sand play, while also using their language to name what they have found in the sand.
Tactile materials such as tactical numbers and tactile letters will be great in our classroom because it helps our students who have sensory needs be a part of a letter or number recognizing activity.
Just learning shapes and just learning colors are great visual aids to have around the classroom to support our visual learners during learning activities. Displaying the cards will make it easier to learn while singing our alphabet and shape song.
What're inside materials soft feely box will spark interest in our students during a language development activity. The softness of the box will give comfort to our students who may be feeling a little worried about sticking their hands into a box filled with mysterious things. The color box will motivate them to communicate to have a turn.
