My Students
I teach Kindergarten English Language Learners. Some of my learners come from low income households with limited resources. I would love to provide my students with the necessary resources to support their learning and English language skills in the 4 modalities (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
My students are motivated and enthusiastic learners!
They are hardworking and will amaze you on a daily basis. When students are provided with an abundance of supporting resources, they will surely thrive and conquer any challenge!
My Project
This project will help my 25 Kindergarten students learn through the use of various manipulatives and center activities. I plan to use these resources to build their phonetic knowledge so they can become independent readers and writers. These resources will help students learn to decode words on their own and spell words independently when they are stuck. This will especially help a class full of English Language Learners.
Students are interested in learning when it is fun and engaging.
By providing them with these various center activities and fun resources, they are more likely to dive themselves into the activity!
