My Students
Hello! I currently teach at a pre-k -3rd-grade school! Our school has self-contained classrooms for students with special needs from kindergarten to third grade. There are also a number of different preschool programs at my school, including two self-contained Pre-k classrooms, a blended preschool classroom, and three general education preschool classrooms. I am grateful to teach in a Significantly Modified with Intensive Supports Preschool Classroom (self-contained classroom).
I currently have 20 amazing students with varying personalities, interests, and abilities!
All of my students have moderate to severe disabilities and have limited expressive language. They communicate using picture cards and gestures to indicate what they want and need. My students come from various socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. During the day, my paraprofessionals and I use various teaching strategies in order to meet the academic, personal, and social-emotional needs of our students!
My Project
On a daily basis, my students come to school eager and ready to learn and play. They love to participate in fun and engaging activities to help them learn their ABC's and numbers.
With your support, my students will be able to work on identifying letters and letter sounds with the new stamps.
They will also be able to work on number identification and counting with 1:1 correspondence using the new cash register, ten frames, number stamps, and more. With these fun activities, my students will look forward to participating in daily academic tasks. Thank you so much for your continued support of my classroom. My students and I are so grateful.
