Help me give my students Lakeshore building tubs to create and build in the classroom.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Potts's classroom raised $295

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My transitional kindergarten students bring energy and joy to our classroom daily both virtually and in person. They enter the classroom bouncing and skipping, ready to embrace the day. They are bright and curious and look forward to each new classroom experience. These young cherubs are thinkers, creators, problem solvers, and collaborators. I want to bring rich experiences and tap into their insatiable appetite and natural curiosity to learn. Providing them access to collaborative and innovative hands-on and heads-on learning in an exciting and motivating way while opening doors to the magic of the school experience is essential. Even though our class meets virtually, for now, we are still a beautiful community of learners.
What better way to help build a caring community than by creating an environment of choice, empathy, and respect for one another than through a comfortable and rich learning environment with options.
I want to give them opportunities and tools that will help them as they continue to grow and learn.
My Project
These STEM tubs will provide my TK students individual learning materials to increase their science, technology, engineering, and math skills by using hands-on materials to stretch their thinking and creativity.
STEM activities challenge and engage students.
Students will be able to choose a Lakeshore STEM building tub to take their spots and use the star builders, stretch connectors, and waffle builders to create and construct independently. Students will create and share their designs with our class. These materials will allow my students to be creative and use open-ended tools to work individually and eventually with others. These open-ended STEM tubs allow my students to "play", explore, engineer, plan, cooperate, socialize, share, think critically, reflect, and LEARN!
