My Students
Let me introduce you to my wonderful kindergartners! The 20 students in my kindergarten class are an excited, eager, motivated, and athletic bunch of students. They love learning new strategies in math and learning new skills in ELA. The students get very excited when they finally make the connection they had been missing or discover something on their own.
I teach in a town with a very diverse population.
I have many students who speak a different language at home and are from different cultures, which they bring into the classroom. The students love learning about each other and their differences.
My Project
Young children love to play! The materials I have selected will help my students to learn while having fun and socially interacting with each other. The students in my kindergarten class love their free-choice time. During this time they can choose areas in the classroom to play with their peers. By increasing the educational games and materials available to the children, they will have various ways to build on a concept…all while having fun! Many of my students come from low-income families and do not have games or toys available to them at home. I want my students to learn, have fun, and socially interact simultaneously!
