My class is filled with exciting, smart, funny, and energetic children. Each students brings a different element into our room. The class has varied ages ranging from 3 years old to 5 years old. I have been a primary teacher for the last 6 years and have experienced an exciting new group of students every year.
My school is in an urban community serving low-income and poverty stricken families who seek and value great education for their children and each teacher at my school not only provides education for each student but also provides a loving, caring, and safe environment for learning.
Each student has a different family background and structure and with that comes with a different learning need that needs to be met for each individual student. Teachers at my school meet students at their level and challenge them to become the best student that they can by providing the best education possible.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students learning and improve their school life by giving them new and exciting ways to learn. My students will also be exposed to using new things that they may not have accessible at home such as paint and sand.
My students will be excited to use the play-doh, paint brushes, colored pencils, and crayons to create unique master pieces.
My students can use the play-doh to help them learn letters and numbers.
The paintbrushes, colored pencils, and paper can be used for them to be creative with in their drawing throughout our units of trees and buildings. For some of my students this is their first experience in a real school and having these supplies will help create it a great experience.
By having these supplies in the classroom it offers my students a different approach to learning letters, numbers, shapes, and every other aspect of learning in the classroom. They will be able to explore and be creative in their learning with these materials by creating unique projects without the restrictions of only using paper and pencil.
The books will be a great way for my students to get inspiration with their drawings using the pencils and crayons and also to expand their literacy development.
