My Students

My students are from a Title I school that is in a low socioeconomic area in Georgetown, SC. My students are in the sixth grade and I enrolled in my math and science classes. Students in the class come from different walks of life and have different learning styles

They have so much energy and a strong desire to learn and grow.

I love making learning fun for them through hands-on learning activities.

Students will also use critical thinking and problem solving skills to create projects that are relevant to students’ lives in collaborating teams. They have a wide range of academic, social, and emotional needs. I want to ensure that they become productive citizens someday. I want to provide them with appropriate materials to help them become readers, writers, and mathematicians.

When my students enter the classroom, they are ready to learn and explore computer science.

My Project

My students are in need of headphones to accompany their Chromebooks as they individually work on assignments.

By providing these sturdy, flexible and great working headphones, this will alleviate the problem of students loosing valuable study time due to them seeking assistance because of their non-working/non existent headphones.

Furthermore, this project will help increase student’s learning because students will have little or no distractions from sounds coming from other student's Chromebooks that do not have headphones.

Much time is lost for my students and myself due to non-working headphones or lack of headphones. Having good working headphones will completely alleviate this problem and allow me to work with students individually who need my teaching support.
