My Students

In today's world, children are constantly exposed to all forms of technology. Students can easily spend hours playing on their tablets, watching videos, or taking pictures. In a classroom setting, it gets harder and harder to keep students' attention without using tools that they are interested in or accustomed to. Focus and interest are key to building confident learners who are engaged and actively growing in their independence. Technology tools are a great way to gain a student's interest as well as give them tools that they don't normally have access to.

Most of the students in my classroom come from lower income families and don't get many opportunities to interact with technology to enhance their learning.

Part of my goal is to broaden my students' horizons to the endless possibilities that life has for them.

My Project

Students in today's times are constantly diving deeper and deeper into technology. In order to reach my students, I need to incorporate more technology into my classroom. I would love to add more for their independent learning. One way I can do this is to have headphones for every student in my classroom, so they can learn independently. I am asking for 18 headphones with mics.

Learning through listening aids students in their own personal and independent growth.

Students are given the opportunity to deeper their learning by listening to videos, watching live lessons, and even making books come to life. Being in a low income population, my students are not able to purchase these things on their own. I would love to be able to provide these resources to my students.
