Did you build with Legos when you were a kid? Remember how entertaining and fun it was to create different things? What if I told you there was a way to incorporate Legos into our Math classroom?
I have a classroom of 24 eager to learn students!
I have a variety of learners in my class, but they all love any kind of hands on activity to reinforce skills we are learning in the classroom. I am always willing to try different strategies to ensure that my students are learning in my classroom!
My Project
MoreToMath is an educational tool used to teach critical thinking and problem solving skills. As a teacher, I'm always struggling with ways to teach these difficult skills in an engaging way. We already use Legos in our classroom to help with writing and reading skills. My kids get excited about learning when I tell them we are using the Legos! I would love to create that kind of excitement in math as well. With the sets, students will be able to work with a partner to solve different tasks I give them. Tasks will challenge them and really make them think, yet also reinforce skills we are already learning in math.
I am always looking for ways to make learning fun.
I want school to be a meaningful learning experience, and I want my students to love coming into my classroom. We've already had such success with the Legos in other subjects. I feel confident that using the MoreToMath packs will help build my students' math skills as well. Please consider helping us get this wonderful tool for our classroom!
