This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 1st grade ENL (English as New Language) classroom is a place where students are allowed to take chances and explore who they are while learning the English language. They get excited to learn English and take pride in their efforts to challenge their minds for the sake of learning.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
The iPad is a learning tool that can help my English Language Learners learn through a variety of ways.
The iPad can help students learn in a visual, auditory, and tactile manner.
Students will gather information by using different apps that will help widen their Math and Reading skills. The students will be so amazed by the graphics within the educational apps that they will not be aware they are learning. The iPad will be used as a learning tool to reinforce topics taught in class. The students' skills will be heightened using the iPad.
