Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our small school of two classes per grade is a country school. We are seven miles out of town and away from other schools. Our students are mostly made up of the farm, dairy, and crop owners' and workers' children. A big part of them come from other states or countries to work in the vibrant agricultural area.

Our school is lucky enough to have 1:1 iPads for student use, which were funded through donations and fundraisers over the last ten years.

The importance of giving every student the highest level of experience and opportunity isn't lost on our principal, or our school’s teachers. The students in my class are active, caring, strong individuals who can carry on a conversation on many topics!

My Project

These materials will make a difference for my students. They will be able to enjoy games and movement as they learn new, tricky concepts! I feel that these types of fun activities throughout their lessons will help them to remember hard concepts, that perhaps they wouldn't be interested in otherwise.

I plan to use the TPT gift certificate and stapler to purchase and assemble pre-made educational games and activities that my students will love.

I like to build up holidays and special lessons, so the students enjoy their learning along the way. We will use the spinner, Eggspert, and dart board to help us learn!
