I teach third grade in an elementary school in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Our school is a title one school, where most of the children get free lunch and come from low-income families.
This year the children will be working hard on learning new math strategies to prepare them for their citywide tests in March. I feel that the children are looking for an escape from math books and math test preps. Why not make learning math strategies more fun, and the concepts more accessible?
These Math games would be a great way to implement the strategies taught, and at the same time, the children are having fun. These action packed games give the children a creative way to develop different math skills to help them prepare for their citywide exams.
