This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an English as a New Language (ENL) teacher at an elementary school in the Bronx, I have the privilage to work with an amazing group of English Language Learners (ELL's).
My students are excited to continue learning and exploring within the four domains in English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) and but rely on color printed material for visualization and comprehension.
Our elementary school does not provide us with a color printer and printing a colored image or photograph in black and white takes away important details from our ELL students. With your donation more than 40 ELL students will benefit from color printed material and bulleting boards that will reflect real world images that the students can see and use to continue improving their English skills in the classroom and at home.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
