My Project
My students love learning through integrated units. One unit I would love to do is integrating the arts into reading, writing, and mathematics.
My goal is for students to be able to express themselves and have fun learning the core subject areas by drawing, coloring, painting, and sculpting different art projects.
For example, if we're learning about Presidents, students can do a painted Picasso of Abraham Lincoln. If we're learning about multiplication using arrays, they can use dot paints to make equal rows to help solve the problem. My students love the arts, and this project will give us the resources to implement it across subject areas.
