My Students
Do you remember painting and making things as a child? It is such a wonderful memory for me when I look back at my childhood. I want to share these same memories with my students as well as help them have LOTS of fun while learning!
I have 25 of the sweetest, loving, most deserving first graders in the whole entire world!!!!!!
Most of the children at my school come from very low income families where family support is nonexistent and education is not top priority. Because of this, they miss out on so many wonderful experiences.
My Project
I want so badly to provide them with these experiences and show them that learning can be fun and I want to provide them with the opportunity to be creative. Being able to do fun hands-on activities to learn would make such a difference in their lives. Many of them will never have this opportunity outside of school. With the supplies I have requested the students will be able to sponge paint their spelling words, glue organs inside of life-size human cutouts, use rice to trace sight words, and many more fun activities.
These children MUST be reached out to in every way at an early age or they will very likely never develop an interest in their education and will just fall prey to "the system." Your donation towards these art supplies will help encourage them to learn and see that learning is F-U-N!
