Learning that Sticks: Chart Paper and Sticky Notes

My Students

I teach in a classroom filled with wonderful third graders! They absolutely love hands on learning and they thrive when working cooperatively. It is a joy to watch each of my students learn and grow outside of a traditional lesson.

My Project

Making anchor charts that are hung around the room helps all learners have a reference to materials which supports independent learning. Students use their sticky notes to respond and record answers that are also hung with the anchor charts.

Students participate actively in their learning with their peers.

The anchor charts are saved and used throughout the year as quick reference that the students are already familiar with.

Sticky notes are used in all subjects and are a quick way to check student understand and re-teach as necessary. Sticky notes are also a great way to send a quick encouraging message.
