This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 5th graders from across Washington in a virtual classroom, where I strive to build a strong community that feels just as connected and supportive as if we were learning together in person every day. Through music and games, my students develop teamwork skills and form lasting friendships... even in an online setting!
Catchy songs and friendly competition turn learning into play, and my students can’t get enough!
Your donation will directly fund subscriptions to four online learning platforms that my students love. These sites offer curriculum-aligned games, videos, and writing activities that make learning exciting and effective. Factile engages learners through educational Jeopardy-style games that promote high student participation and teamwork. Cram Jams provides catchy educational songs that make complex concepts easy to understand. Kahoot enables us to create and play interactive games, which we use every Friday as a review of the week's concepts. We Will Write offers live writing competitions that help students develop their writing skills individually, and as part of a team!

Every donation goes directly toward subscription costs and helps me build a more inclusive, supportive, and successful learning environment.
