it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, students have a wide range of learning needs, and it’s important to create an environment where everyone can focus and do their best. One way to support them is by providing noise-cancelling headphones. Many of my students are sensitive to background noise, which can make it difficult for them to concentrate during independent work, reading, or tests. Noise-cancelling headphones help reduce distractions and create a calmer, more focused atmosphere for those who need it most, particularly students with sensory sensitivities, ADHD, or anxiety.
By funding this project, you would be helping to create a classroom where every learner has the tools they need to thrive.
In addition, regular headphones are essential for daily learning activities. Students use them for online lessons, educational videos, language programs, and audiobooks. Headphones allow students to work independently at their own pace without disturbing others, making it easier to differentiate instruction and meet each student’s unique learning goals.
Finally, I would love to provide movable stools for my students. Many children learn best when they are able to move, and stools that allow for safe, controlled movement can make a big difference. Whether they need to wiggle, rock, or adjust their posture, flexible seating options help students stay engaged and focused without disrupting the class. These tools are not just about comfort—they are about meeting students where they are and giving them the support they need to succeed.
