Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
They say a clutter free room is a clutter free mind! That is why my class and I need storage bins for better organizational systems in our classroom. I am currently a first grade teacher at a brand new charter school that just opened it's doors to 150 Kindergarten and First grade students here in New York City. We serve a high need population of students and are at the forefront at teaching children about green living with a dedication to science instruction. We are one of only 6 charter schools in our district!
Because our school is so new, we are getting new supplies every day. In order to keep those supplies in easy to reach, organized places within the classroom, we need to have storage bins. Unfortunately, there is little room in our small charter school budget for extra storage materials.
I am requesting a large amount of various different types of storage bins to help organize books, blocks, puzzles, art supplies, and cleaning supplies. Students will be able to grab the items they need much more easily and cleaning up will move much more smoothly. Keeping everything organized will help the learning in our classroom happen with grace and ease!
With your kind donation, you will be supporting an ambitious start up charter school that is changing the face of education as we know it!
