Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Research shows that learning a foreign language makes students more successful in their own language. They learn to use a different part of their brain and score better overall in other subjects and on standardized tests. The students must be introduced to a foreign language in a way that makes them want to learn. I started the Spanish program at my school with no materials and a very small budget. The books I have requested will give me materials to teach all students and give me options for all levels of learners.
I want to make learning Spanish fun, and these materials will help me to do that.
The students feel so successful when they learn the basics of a foreign language. The books will give me materials to teach the students, and the paper will allow us to do some projects.
