This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten students strive to become expert readers and writers while communicating, building social skills, and experiencing positive social interactions. Learning sight words, the words we see most commonly in print, is necessary for children to develop reading fluency.
What better way to achieve sight word knowledge and fluency than through an interactive journal of activities and reading & writing practice with sight words.
Each kindergarten student will receive their own Sight- Word Daily Activity Journal to help explore, practice, write, develop, and learn their first 100 high- frequency sight words. These books are engaging, interactive, and will help my kindergarten kiddos develop the skills needed to read and write their sight words.
