it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me show my students that learning can be fun. I am a second-grade special education teacher in The Bronx. All of my students need materials that are unique to their needs and interests. I want my students to find joy and excitement in learning! I intend to build a love of learning by engaging students in academic games, completing projects, and building student collaboration.
Many of these supplies are for everyday use.
The board games will motivate students to learn their sight words and addition and subtraction expressions. Students work in centers several times a week, where they play games that have an academic focus to enhance their learning. Laminating pouches will keep the games safe and easily accessible. Stickers and stamps excite my students and keep them motivated to try their best. Many families are unable to provide pencils, erasers, and crayons for their children. In second grade, students publish their writing and use crayons and markers to make it unique to them. Students also use crayons and markers to add details to their writing throughout the subject areas.
