This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is filled with 22 students who love to learn by experimenting with materials.

My students are in the Oklahoma City School district.

The classrooms in our district tend to be crowded which is why I believe that teaching outdoors gives them freedom to have space and learn. My students are eager to learn outdoors and experiment with math and science using their natural surroundings.

My Project

With materials like magnetic design center, blocks, waterfall kit, an engineer-a-coaster set and games, we can encourage students to discover and build while outdoors. With STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) I believe that teaching my students is beneficial to their overall learning experience, and having the materials available to use outdoors would be very exciting for my students.

This project will make a difference because like I previously stated our classroom can be crowded and teaching math and science outdoors would benefit my students greatly.

These materials will give them the freedom to learn hands on in a natural environment!
