My Students

"Some see disabilities, but special education teachers see possibilities."

My students consist of a diverse group of children with varying special needs.

They each require some extra attention to reach their potential. My students are exceptional learners who sometimes need accommodations to be successful. Most of them are learning functional and life skills such as toileting, social skills, following simple directions, and how to manage outbursts and sensory needs.

These children are capable of so much more than even I realize, and they continue to surprise me with their abilities. They bring so much joy to our school.

My Project

My students each have individual needs they are working on in the classroom. Some area working on identifying letters or numbers. Others are working on fine motor skills like picking up objects and stacking.

My students learn best through hands on and interactive activities.

I am requesting learning resources like games and puzzles which are very beneficial to my students. They really enjoy using the ones that we have, and they are all getting worn out! My students love to learn through play!

These learning games will allow my students to work on their various goals - counting, letter identification, sorting, identifying colors, and fine motor skills while having fun and staying engaged! I would love to be able to provide them with more tools to enhance their learning in a fun and engaging way.
