Help me give my students shower curtain liners and duct tape to create the opportunity to learn through working together to think critically, communicate, and develop decision-making skills in a safe environment.

My Students
As we start the new school year, we all feel some trepidation. Many students in my Title I school are feeling anxious about returning to school while practicing social distance protocols.
I want to create a learning space where my students feel safe enough to communicate and collaborate with their peers.
The current setup of individually spaced desks and chairs will not foster such a learning environment.
I would like to make changes to my classroom to create group pods separated by PVC pipe and shower curtains. This will still require wearing masks, but it will enable students to work together in collaborative groups. This way, students can learn from each other and enjoy a "semi-normal" experience in our classroom.
My Project
When students feel anxious or stressed about being in a classroom, then their learning is seriously impacted. I want to create an environment where students can relax and trust each other to be collaborating in a safe environment, and I believe that these plastic "pods" will enable such learning.
If this project is funded, then students will be able to focus on their learning rather than worry about their environment.
Keeping my students safe will keep them in school. Please help my students work together in their "pods" to develop their 21st-century skills. Let's help them learn from each other.
