My students need these letter teaching tubs, and a tub storage rack, to help grasp letter sounds and letter recognition in order to help them retain information.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember being in kindergarten and learning your letters? Wasn't it very simple to sing the ABC song, one that you remember to this day?! My students can use all the support they can get to help them have that experience too!
My students are nothing short than amazing.
They have very unique personalities and are curious about everything. They attend a public school in California. I have 9 students in my special education class. They all have moderate to severe disabilities and are all in kindergarten. Their disabilities include autism, orthopedic impairments, down syndrome, and specific learning disabilities especially pertaining to speech.
My Project
These learning tubs would be very much appreciated by my students. They are very eager to learn because they are so young and enthusiastic. For most of my students, retaining information is often quite difficult. I provide my students with many different ways of learning information and these hands on items would add to that learning process. My students could learn how to manipulate the tubs independently and it would help them to connect the letters to every day objects.
Your donations would be greatly appreciated!
Your donation will support my students in their retention and allowing them to begin to learn independently. Learning their letters is the foundation for their entire future and you can help support that! :)
