My Students
Not everyone does their best learning sitting in a chair. My students need clipboards to enable them to work and learn in a variety of settings.
My wonderful 1st graders are eager and ready to learn.
We enjoy learning and exploring outside of the classroom. My students speak a variety of languages and need opportunities for hands on experiences in the world to build their understanding and vocabulary. Many of them do their best work while standing, moving or laying down rather than always staying at a desk.
My Project
We will use these clipboards and pencils and pens to take our learning outside! We are working on designing a new school garden, with these materials we will be able to sit in the space as we observe and design. We are also studying clouds and weather, why do this in a classroom when we could sit outside to write observations and create cloud art?
We will take our clipboards on field trips to document our learning. Students will also use these material inside of our classroom. Students will be able to reflect on how they best learn and choose to stand, move or lay down for certain work periods. The possibilities are limitless!
