Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Save out bottoms! Students in our class need a carpet to sit on while there is carpet activities. Kindergartens rely on whole group activities while sitting on a child friendly carpet. Students can learn about respecting personal space while being comfortable. Thank you.
Our class is made up of 33 eager kindergrtners.
This is a collaborative classroom. There are 23 regular education students and 10 students with special needs. They enjoy working on classroom projects. Their favorite subject is science because they enjoy working with hands-on activities. Students begin the day with a smile because they have time to be silly and learn during our circle time on the carpet.
My Project
Our class is requesting a carpet because we use it daily. The carpet is where students feel the most comfortable. Due to budget cuts our classroom can not get a carpet that fits our large class. Students have to sit on the bare floor at times. They still do this with a smile because they are so eager to learn, but a carpet to fit everyone will make them happy.
I would like my students to feel at ease when they are learning.
I know that having a place to sit will make them feel like they count. Having this carpet will let them know that a space is reserved for them.
