I have the pleasure of teaching twenty enthusiastic Kindergartners. They love to learn, but they need materials that will keep them interested to create meaningful learning experiences.
I teach in a low socioeconomic school and unfortunately, many of the children that come through my room don't have basic supplies.
Therefore, I provide most of the materials that are in needed my room. Regardless of their background, all of the children are excited about being at school and learning new things.
My Project
Students will use the Giant Soft Dice for different math activities in whole group and small group settings. My students will use the Read and Solve World Problems to help them develop addition and subtraction skills. The Number Sense Teaching cards will be used to help students improve in number sense skills. They will be used in whole group, small group, and independent settings. The Number Sequencing Puzzles will help children build needed number skills in a fun and engaging way.
This project will help my students develop the number skills they need for counting, and then addition and subtraction when they are ready.
