Help me give my students copies of the books we read at school, to read during the weekday, on the weekends, and during school breaks.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Lewis's classroom raised $4,849

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have sent two books home thus far with my students. They are so excited when I read those stories because someone they love at home has already read the story to them. I want my students to be excited about reading throughout their education career. The books in this project will help families continue to be involved with the curriculum. I've already seen great improvement in my students' ability to retell a story, sound like the characters, and develop reading readiness skills. I want to grow my student's brains even more.
"Open a book and you will find people and places of every kind: Open a book and you can be anything you want to be, Open a book and you can share, wondrous words you find in there; Open a book and I will too, you read to me and I read to you"-Jane Beswick.
Our students can benefit from books to not only get to know the culture of the school, but to learn about one another.
