Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how my students engage in conversations, share laughs, and eagerly embrace learning life skills. It’s such a joy to see them grow and develop, and I truly enjoy building those meaningful connections with them. To make their learning even more memorable, I love incorporating art supplies at the end of a science unit, allowing students to create something that reflects what they've learned. Not only does this make the material more tangible, but it also gives them a fun, creative way to remember the concepts and celebrate their hard work.

The manipulatives will provide hands-on learning experiences that will help them understand and practice important concepts.

By incorporating them into whole group instruction, I can create an engaging environment that sparks their excitement for learning. Additionally, during Fun Friday, they will have the opportunity to explore these resources in a more relaxed setting, reinforcing the skills they’ve learned throughout the week and using art supplies to create a visual representation of their science journey, making it something they can enjoy and remember for a long time.
