Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic and excited to learn. They are eager and filled with questions furthering their knowledge of the concepts in our classroom. They are dedicated to learning more about math and also about themselves.
They create a classroom community that pushes them to the next level, while also displaying empathy and compassion for each other.
The classroom environment is centered around trust, which in turn allows students to push themselves to the next level in math.
My Project
The table will allow my students to work in small groups and help each other problem solving and gain experience working collaboratively. The smaller resources like the bins and trays are to help the students keep track of the materials they need and we will store them in the classroom so they do not have to worry about not having the necessary resources.
The index cards and rings are going to be small travel sized place for students to write their vocabulary and equations.
This will help them study and ask questions if they are confused. It will also be a quick and efficient way to look back at previous topics.
