My Project

My first graders love learning, especially when they get to learn and practice skills through playing games. These math games allow students to work on important team work skills while also practicing first grade math standards like addition and subtraction fluency. The games have all been selected because they meet our math standards and will give kids a chance to practice the math in a way that is fun and engaging. I plan on having students using these games each day in small math groups and during choice learning time.

My hope for this project is to add more exciting and educational games to my room to continue to build my students' love for learning.

My class really enjoys working and playing together and the more games we have in our classroom, the more opportunities they will get to practice working even better together. I do not ever want my students to think of school as boring and I know that giving them more chances to play is a great way to keep up both the excitement and the learning.
