Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a great class of energetic and vibrant students and three wonderful paraprofessional aides. Many of my students have various IEP goals, behaviors, and speech delays.

My students are in Pre-K and kindergarten and are diagnosed with autism.

I currently have ten students, a number which may increase at any moment. None of my students are able to effectively communicate basic wants, needs, or emotions. Currently, we are using picture icons to support their communication needs.

My students are energetic, bright, and very eager to learn. They range in age from three years to five years old. Our school is a Title I site. My students come to school to be loved, appreciated and taught. They have lots to overcome, but they still come to school with smiles on their faces that brighten up my day.

These little ones are learning so quickly! We work every day on their various IEP goals, social skills and speech, and language acquisition, strengthening their fine motor skills along with our new curriculum.

My Project

Hands-on learning and making learning fun is key to our classroom function, as our students learn by having fun.

The number pop its will allow my students to learn number sense, number identification and formation with the use of these number pop its.

The Sesame Street Cookie Monster Numbers on the Go will allow my students to have fun and engage them with their learning of numbers and colors. These learning tools allow for a hands-on learning experience during math small group instruction.

The Number and Alphabet pop its will allow for a hands-on learning experience of learning numbers and the letters of the alphabet during large group instruction .
