Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In first grade, every student is expected to learn their math facts. The first-grade goal is for students to be able to learn the value of adding one-digit numbers. It's a difficult task for most first graders to memorize their math facts. It also takes them time to learn all the math facts. Learning the math addition facts is similar to learning multiplication facts. However, in class, we use a math program where my students can learn their facts.
Unfortunately, my students do not have all the necessary materials to do this math addition fact program.
My students need a Turn-In-Your-Work organizer and hanging folders to keep the math worksheets in a place where each one of them can take what they need. If my students don't have these organizational materials it will make it extremely difficult for them to get track of their progress. The other materials that I'm requesting in this project are certificates. I want to use the certificates to reward my students for each of their achievements in the math program. Every time that they complete a level in the math facts program I want to give them a certificate that will make them happy and at the same time motivate them to continue in completing more levels from the math facts program.
