Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Developing early literacy skills makes it easier for children to learn to read. What a great way to support phonemic awareness, phonics and fluency than with hands on materials. My students will enjoy using the magnetic wands and alphabet chips to match upper and lowercase letters and learn beginning and ending sounds.

My students are amazing and thrive to learn new skills.

The Vowels Owls Sorting Set is a great way to practice short vowel sounds. We will use them in whole group and small group centers for students to sort the picture cards into the correct vowel.

The Fidget Games will allow students to master sight words, letters, numbers, shapes, and CVC words. My students will identify CVC word patterns and learn to segment and blend sounds to produce words. What a great way to do this while having FUN and buiding reading confidence. .

My students will use the Mesh Pouches as a math tool kit. As they are learning to become great mathematicians and problem solvers, they will need to have a variety of math tools at their hands.
