The more enjoyable a task, the more likely it is a student will want to engage in and complete it. Student's enjoyment of learning activities directly relates to their desire and willingness to learn. Reading games make learning to read a fun and enjoyable activity. The most effective students reading games are enjoyable for students to engage with from the start, and increate their motivation to continue and complete.
Learning through the use of literacy games is essential to the success of each and every student.
Literacy games provide differentiated instructions so every learner has the ability to succeed. These comprehensions, phonic, and phonemic awareness games and activities will help my students to gain the attention and desire to learn new literacy concepts. Making learning "fun" while still being educational leader to more interesting and better outcome for learning success.
Educational game allow teacher to add variety to the types of activities offered in the classroom, and games add a certain level of excitement to the classroom. Best of all, even though the games may be learning games, to students, games like these feel like play. This element of fun may mean students have more buy-in for the activity and are more apt to be attentive. As teachers, one of our goals is for students to learn as much as possible, and educational games are a great way to reinforce the concepts we've been working on in a focused way. In addition, for teachers who use games as part of a center or station rotation, these games allow the teacher to work with a small group, while another small group is busy playing a learning game.
